When The Matthews partnered with Dominique the Film and the artist's family, we opened our doors for a free community event that brought together over 180 people from across the Northern Hills. The evening combined film, food, and local talent — an inclusive celebration that reflected our mission to connect community through the arts.
Because The Matthews covered all costs, the event was accessible to everyone, and that visibility helped Dominique the Film gain statewide attention. Shortly afterward, South Dakota Public Broadcasting selected the film for a 3–4 year broadcast run.
Community access, artist visibility, and statewide cultural recognition — born from one free night of art and connection.
During our sold-out Frank Sinatra Tribute, audiences were treated to an unforgettable performance by Tony DeBlois, a world-class musician born blind and autistic, performing alongside the South Dakota Jazz Orchestra.
His mother shared Tony's remarkable journey, from his first notes on the piano to stages around the world, moving the crowd to both laughter and tears. Events like this remind us why live performance matters.
With partner support, The Matthews can continue bringing artists who inspire empathy, joy, and connection.
Every partnership fuels performances, education, and community access — bringing the arts to life for thousands all year long. Let's plan your partnership together.
